Patio Del Moro, built in 1926, is one of West Hollywood's finest examples of courtyard Spanish architecture. The exceptional location is walking distance to the Sunset Strip and numerous eateries and shopping destinations.
History
After the completion of Villa Primavera, Arther & Nina Zwebell began their next courtyard project known as Patio Del Moro. While most of the Zwebell's buildings are modeled after pure Andalusian style, the Patio Del Moro displays an influence of Arab sources including pointed and horseshoe arches, surface arabesque patterns and latticed openings.
Patio Del Moro is a compact U shaped building with an enclosed courtyard containing lush landscape elements, a delicate reflecting pool and robust baroque fireplace. Beautiful tile work and an exotic Tunisian tower complete the incredible environment.
All seven units include a private terrace, patio or balcony and display a great deal of spacial complexity. Two story living spaces and mezzanines dominate the interior design.
