Sanctum Artiste, built in 1926 and converted into lofts in 2014, is located on the border of Silver Lake and East Hollywood. The building was a synagogue and a church in its former life, but is now "the quintessence of a small, artistic community."
The Sanctum Artiste offers six tri-level lofts combining the original architecture of the church, with all of the modern conveniences of new construction. Every unit has its own patron saint. In keeping with the properties architectural heritage, elements of the properties past such as stained-glass windows, cathedral ceilings, arched walked ways and hardwood floors have been preserved to provide a truly unique living experience. While the exterior pays homage to the past, the interiors have been completely updated with redesigned kitchens, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and beautiful spiral staircases.
