The neighborhood of Mid City Santa Monica is just that, right in the center of the city. The northern boundary runs west along Wilshire Blvd from Centinela Ave to the ocean. The eastern boundary runs south along Centinela Ave from Wilshire Blvd to Colorado Ave. The southern boundary then runs from Colorado Ave to 20th Street, up north along 20th St from Colorado Blvd to Santa Monica Blvd. The southern boundary continues west along Santa Monica Blvd to Lincoln Blvd, then south to Pico Blvd.
This area contains the majority of all shopping and dining venues in Santa Monica, including the Third Street Promenade and Santa Monica Pier. There are relatively few single-family homes. However, it does boast a large percentage of Santa Monica’s condo and townhouse market as well as a fair amount of the city’s residential income opportunities (duplexes, triplexes, small apartment buildings). Most residences are north of Santa Monica Blvd.
Santa Monica High School, The Police Department and the majority of other city services are also located in this part of the city. If you like walkability this is a great and affordable part of the city to reside in.
