Cullen Street Homes, built in 2012, is located in Culver City's trendy Art District. These single family homes are surrounded by art galleries, award winning restaurants and shops. Culver City's Expo Line Station is a few blocks away.

An early adopter of Los Angeles’ Small Lot Subdivision Ordinance, the Cullen Street Art District Homes were developed as three separate homes on three individual, fee-simple lots. The adjacent Culver City Art District served as inspiration for the project, which bears modern, bold lines, open floor plans, and punches of bright color.

As the project was developed as small lot homes, not condominiums, it was critical to have them appear as individual homes and not as a large, continuous block of housing. To accomplish this, a portion of the third story of each home was left open as a deck, creating a clear distinction between the three homes. Balconies off the second floor living area also help to distinguish each home from the others, while bringing life to the vehicular driveway. Doors and windows were all carefully configured to provide optimal privacy between the three small lot homes as well as from the neighboring apartment building. The single-pitch roofs were designed with an optimized southern orientation for future solar panel installation.
