Beverly Park is arguably the most prestigious guard gated community in Los Angeles. The 250 acre development is divided into two sections, North Beverly Park and South Beverly Park. Beverly Park occupies a partial plateau in the Santa Monica Mountains of BHPO, immediately south of Mulholland Drive between Benedict and Coldwater Canyons. Privacy and security are treated with utmost importance. Entrances are manned 24/7 with additional roaming patrols. Each residence is further secured by a second set of private gates. In a city plagued by paparazzi, the neighborhood airspace is protected by a no fly zone.

Beverly Park North has two entrances, at 13100 Mulholland Drive and the northern terminus of Summitridge Drive. All of Beverly Park's largest estates sit in the North. Views are generally superior from lots on the southern and eastern sides of the neighborhood along the rim of the plateau.

During the 1960s, this area was going to be a country club and golf course. However, in the 1970s, developers Brian Adler and Elliot Gottfurcht joined forces to turn Beverly Park into “an idyllic community of historic feeling grand estates that would feel like Beverly Hills of yesteryear.”

Estates in the community are expansive, averaging nearly 20,000 square feet in the North section and 11,000 square feet in the South. One would be hard pressed to find a concentration of homes boasting comparable square footage anywhere else. French chateaus and Tuscan Villas dominate the landscape, broken up by a handful of architecturals and East Coast traditionals. Beverly Park requires homes in this neighborhood to be at least 5,000 square feet in size.
